After turning down many opportunities to go to dance schools, being accepted at Urdang, London studios and bodyworks, She decided to continue her studies at Kingston university. in 2012 she graduated univeristy with a 2:1 and returned home to start Dance with Jodie.

Jodie has trained with the RAD, ISTD and is a fully qualified Street fit Instructor. Jodie has taught dance at several primary and secondary schools in Cornwall, as well as working with a number of charities teaching dance for people wth disabilites, she is also a certified childminder so has a wide range of knowledge and experiance working with children and adults.

Jodie's main reason for starting Dance with Jodie was so that she could pass on her knowledge and experiance within the dance spectrum, she wanted to show a wide range of skills and styles in dance, but also show that dance is about having fun and letting yourself be free within movement.

Kiera is one of DWJ Substitute teacher's. Kiera has been studying dance thoughout her secondary school years and has been a part of the dance school since opening in 2012. Her passion for dance has pushed her to achieve high standards in street dance and contemporary, Whilst also training in ballet and tap. Kiera has taken part in national street dance competitions and has performed in theatres across Cornwall and Devon. Kiera has been training along side Jodie and Hayley, whilst taking her student teacher training course. Her love of dancing and working with children shows through her teaching in which she has continued to do at college.

Assistant Teachers

We at Dance with Jodie try to encourage students to work more with others. Every term we invite helpers to assist with the younger classes. This helps, not only themselves towards their teaching skills, but also encourages the younger students to work hard towards this in their future dance training.

Izzy started her dance training from the age of 5 at Clee Academy of dance. She excelled through to grade 5 in RAD and ISTD ballet, modern and tap. Izzy has performed locally and nationally in competitions and shows. She has performed many solo acts on stage through her primary school years and continues to grow confidence through secondary school where she has been asked to perform many more solo acts. As well as dance Izzy has trained in musical theatre workshops in her previous hometown. Izzy moved to Looe just over 3 years ago now and has continued her dance training at Dance with Jodie since. She continues to grow into a beautiful dancer and her confidence with others has shone through. Izzy has dreams of one day opening her own dance school and continues to train hard so she can achieve this dream.
